Back in 2014 when Dawlish Beach Cams started, I always wondered what would happen to Brunel Camping Carriages (as it was known back in the day), as they just seem to fall in to disrepair.

Dawlish Museum visited the site in January 2016 and took these photos. Around this time the park closed after 50 years of business.

Later that year they were sold at auction for £261,000. Back then the carriages were 8 berth chalets with very basic amenities including plastic garden furniture.

We visited the site back in February 2018 to see how they were getting on and below is the video from back then and you can read the full blog post here.

Below are some photos I took in 2018 of the restoration.

And well now to present time. WOW WOW WOW!!! What an incredible job this family have done.

You are no longer booking a camping trip, this is a truly unique experience. Please watch my video at the bottom to see what an amazing job they have done.

Here’s the blurb from Blue Chip Holidays.
