Dawlish Beach Cams is launching a global version of its website called Coast Cams. The new, faster website will provide its audience with their very own window to the South West coast from wherever they are in the world.
With rapidly growing followers worldwide, Coast Cams plan to install cameras in new coastal locations every month from 2024, with its initial focus on South West England.
Starting in Devon, the newest Camera, Embankment Bistro in Dartmouth, goes live to the public on the 30th of September, 2023 and is set to be a success. The cam has already had a lot of interest, with a staggering 80,000 viewers in 24 hours when tested on YouTube in August.
The company’s founder, Neil Salter, said, “We are excited to launch Coast Cams this month; we have been planning and designing this new venture since 2020. Using the latest technology to bring Ultra HD, 4k live streams to people’s homes, we want people to feel like they are sitting at the coast from the comfort of their homes by having these super high-quality live streams on their TVs.”
Ali, who runs the Blenheim in Dawlish, said, “My business will never be the same without the camera in Dawlish… it’s fantastic for what it’s done to my business.”
Neil from Southport said Dawlish Beach Cams provide “very innovative camera locations on the South Devon Coast with some excellent videos.” It is a “credit to tourism generation”; there are “some memorable shots of places we have previously visited, and do return to whenever we can.”
The company currently focuses on Plymouth, Cornwall and North Devon for new camera installations and is discussing locations with potential European partners.
